Tampers serve to compress the ground espresso within the portafilter. The speed by which the brewing water runs through the ground espresso influences quality and taste of the espresso. The speed is depending on the compression of the coffee ground. With the professional tamper TecPresso a standardised result can be reached as a pre-adjusted maximal pressure limits the tamper while tamping.
